Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro Review: Rugged Budget Smartphone with a Smooth 120Hz Display
The Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro is designed for buyers who want more from a budget smartphone than just basic specifications. Instead of concentrating on a single feature, Tecno has included a combination of useful hardware such as a large 6.78-inch 120Hz display, 5200mAh battery, stereo speakers, expandable storage, an infrared port, and IP68/IP69 protection.
The supplied specifications list Android 16 with HiOS 16 and a Unisoc T7250 chipset. The phone also features a 13MP primary rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera, positioning it more as an everyday smartphone than a photography-centric device.
Let’s look at its design, display, performance, cameras, battery, and the areas where compromises become noticeable.
Design and Durability
The Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro uses a glass front combined with a plastic frame and plastic rear panel. While it doesn’t provide the premium feel of a glass-and-metal flagship, this construction fits the budget segment and is practical for everyday usage.
One of its biggest highlights is the listed IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance. According to the supplied details, the phone is designed to handle high-pressure water exposure and immersion up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes under specified conditions.
The phone is also listed with 1.5-metre drop resistance, which adds an extra layer of everyday durability.
Dual Nano-SIM support is available, making it convenient for users who maintain two mobile numbers.
Colour choices listed include Black, Gray, Orange, and Burgundy Red.
Large 6.78-Inch 120Hz Display
The display is one of the key attractions of the Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro.
It comes with a 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel featuring a 120Hz refresh rate. The higher refresh rate can make scrolling through menus, websites, social media feeds, and compatible games feel smoother.
The resolution is 720 × 1600 pixels, with approximately 259 ppi. As a result, it won’t offer the same sharpness as a Full HD+ smartphone, particularly because the screen is quite large.
Still, the generous display size makes it well suited for video streaming, browsing, reading, social media, and casual gaming.
For users who care more about screen size and smoothness than maximum pixel density, this combination can be appealing.
Performance and Software
Powering the device is the Unisoc T7250, a 12nm chipset with an octa-core CPU.
The listed processor setup includes:
- 2 × Cortex-A75 cores at 1.8GHz
- 6 × Cortex-A55 cores at 1.6GHz
- Mali-G57 MP1 GPU
The phone comes with 4GB RAM and either 64GB or 128GB internal storage, depending on the variant.
For everyday activities such as WhatsApp, browsing, YouTube, social media, online classes, music, and light multitasking, this hardware should be suitable.
However, users expecting strong performance in graphics-heavy 3D games should keep their expectations realistic. The phone is better positioned as an everyday budget smartphone.
Software-wise, it runs Android 16 with HiOS 16, giving users Tecno’s customized Android interface and feature set.
Expandable Storage Is a Useful Advantage
One of the most practical additions is the dedicated microSDXC card slot.
Because the storage slot is separate, users can expand the phone’s storage while continuing to use dual-SIM functionality. This is more convenient than shared slots that force buyers to choose between a second SIM and a memory card.
For people who store lots of photos, videos, songs, recordings, or documents, expandable storage can be particularly useful.
13MP Rear Camera
The Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro uses a 13MP primary rear camera supported by a dual-LED flash.
For daylight snapshots, social-media posts, documents, and general everyday photography, the camera should be adequate.
The phone also supports video recording, although its camera system is clearly aimed at basic photography rather than advanced videography.
At the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera that can handle selfies, video calls, and basic social content, especially under decent lighting conditions.
The overall camera setup is straightforward, so buyers seeking multiple camera lenses, optical zoom, or more advanced photography controls may need to consider a higher-tier model.

Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro Review: Rugged Design, 120Hz Display & Long Battery Life
5200mAh Battery
Battery capacity is another area where the Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro looks promising.
The phone packs a 5200mAh Li-Po battery, giving it a substantial capacity for regular day-to-day activities.
Users who spend significant time browsing, watching videos, scrolling through social media, or making calls should benefit from the larger battery capacity and potentially fewer charging sessions.
Charging is supported at 15W wired, which is usable for this category but is comparatively modest considering current smartphone charging speeds.
So, the battery capacity is a clear plus, while the charging speed is a more average aspect of the package.
Stereo Speakers and 3.5mm Headphone Jack
The Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro also takes a practical approach to audio.
It features stereo speakers, which can provide a more engaging experience for music, videos, and gaming than a single-speaker arrangement.
The phone also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, allowing users to connect wired earphones directly without needing an adapter.
This can be particularly convenient for budget buyers who already own traditional wired headphones.
Useful Connectivity Features
The smartphone comes with a practical collection of connectivity options, including:
- Dual-band Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth
- GPS
- USB Type-C
- OTG support
- FM radio
- Infrared port
The presence of an infrared port is a useful bonus because it can allow the phone to control compatible electronics such as televisions and air conditioners.
A side-mounted fingerprint sensor is also included for device security, along with an accelerometer.
NFC is not supported, so buyers who use NFC-enabled payment or accessory features should take this limitation into account.
Durability Could Be Its Biggest Strength
One of the most interesting aspects of the Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro is its focus on durability.
The combination of IP68/IP69 protection and up to 1.5-metre drop resistance gives it a more rugged character than many budget smartphones.
This could make it appealing to students, outdoor users, workers, or anyone who wants a phone that is designed to handle more demanding everyday conditions.
At the same time, users should still follow the manufacturer’s specified conditions for water and impact protection, as certification does not mean the device is indestructible.

Final Verdict
The Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro stands out as a budget smartphone that tries to deliver practical features instead of simply competing on one specification.
Its 6.78-inch 120Hz display offers a large and smooth viewing experience, while the 5200mAh battery is designed to provide dependable day-to-day endurance. Features such as the dedicated microSD slot, stereo speakers, 3.5mm headphone jack, infrared port, and USB Type-C add further versatility.
The standout point is arguably the phone’s durability. With IP68/IP69 protection and 1.5-metre drop resistance, it is positioned as a more rugged choice for everyday use.
There are still some compromises. The 720p resolution is modest for such a large screen, 15W charging is not especially quick, and the camera hardware remains fairly basic. The processor is also better suited to regular tasks and casual gaming than demanding titles.
Overall, the Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro is a practical budget smartphone for users who value durability, battery life, a large smooth display, expandable storage, and useful everyday features more than flagship-level camera quality or gaming performance.
