Lava Bold N2 Review: A Budget Smartphone with a Big Display and 5000mAh Battery
If you are looking for an affordable smartphone with a large display, a decent camera, and a big battery, the Lava Bold N2 is worth taking a closer look at. Lava has focused on the basics with this phone, offering a 6.75-inch HD+ display, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, a 5000mAh battery, and Android 15.
The phone also comes with a 13MP AI dual rear camera and IP64 water and dust protection, which adds some useful features for everyday users. But how does it look on paper, and what kind of user is it actually aimed at? Let’s take a closer look.
Lava Bold N2: Key Specifications
Before getting into the detailed review, here is a quick look at the main specifications:

Design and Build Quality
The phone comes in two colour options: Siachen White and Indus Black. Its large display gives it a modern smartphone appearance, while the included phone case offers some additional protection right out of the box.
Lava has also included useful accessories such as a power adapter, USB cable, SIM ejector pin, and a USB-C to 3.5mm connector. A headset is also listed as included, which is a nice addition for users who prefer having basic accessories bundled with the phone.
The IP64 rating is another practical feature. It provides protection against dust and water splashes, although it should not be treated as waterproof.
6.75-Inch HD+ Display
One of the biggest highlights is the 6.75-inch display. With a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels, it is designed primarily for everyday activities such as watching videos, browsing social media, reading articles, and using apps.
The large screen can be particularly useful if you prefer a phone that gives you more space for viewing content. The HD+ resolution, however, is more modest than what you would find on more expensive smartphones.
For normal day-to-day use, the display should be adequate, especially considering the budget-focused nature of this device.
Performance and Processor
The Lava Bold N2 is powered by a Unisoc octa-core processor with a clock speed of up to 1.6GHz. It is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
This hardware configuration is aimed at basic and everyday smartphone usage. You can expect it to be more suitable for tasks such as calling, messaging, browsing, watching videos, using social media, and running standard apps.
However, users looking for a phone specifically for demanding gaming or heavy multitasking should keep their expectations realistic. The processor and memory configuration are positioned more toward everyday usage than high-performance gaming.
Camera
On the back, the smartphone features a 13MP AI dual rear camera setup. The camera specification should be sufficient for basic photography, social media posts, document photos, and everyday snapshots.
The AI features can help with automatic scene and image adjustments, although actual image quality will depend on lighting and shooting conditions.
For casual users who mainly take photos during the day, the camera setup should cover the basics. Those looking for advanced photography features, high-end night photography, or flagship-level image processing may need to consider a more premium smartphone.
5000mAh Battery
Battery life is another major highlight of the device. The 5000mAh battery provides a good-sized power capacity for a budget smartphone.
For users who spend their day browsing, chatting, watching videos, listening to music, and making calls, a battery of this size can be useful for reducing the need to constantly search for a charger.
The phone supports 10W charging, which is relatively modest. So while the large battery is a positive point, charging the phone completely will not be as quick as smartphones that support higher-wattage fast charging.
Software and Android 15
The device is listed with Android 15, giving users access to the newer Android software experience.
The software side is important on an entry-level smartphone because a clean and straightforward interface can make everyday use more comfortable. Android 15 also brings modern Android features and security improvements compared with older Android versions.
The exact software experience can vary depending on Lava’s customizations and future updates, so buyers should also consider the manufacturer’s update policy when making a long-term purchase.
Storage and Connectivity
The phone offers 64GB of internal storage, which is enough for basic apps, photos, videos, and documents. However, storage can fill up relatively quickly if you download a lot of games or keep large numbers of videos and photos on the device.
Thankfully, the phone features a hybrid SIM slot, allowing expandable storage depending on how you configure the slot.
Connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, making it suitable for regular 4G mobile networks. It also supports OTG, which can be useful for connecting compatible USB devices.
What’s in the Box?
The package includes several useful accessories:
- Lava Bold N2 smartphone
- Headset
- Phone case
- Power adapter
- USB cable
- SIM tray ejector pin
- USB-C to 3.5mm connector
Having a case and other accessories included can be convenient because you don’t necessarily have to purchase basic items separately.

Final Verdict
The Lava Bold N2 is a smartphone focused on providing the essentials rather than competing with performance-oriented devices. Its biggest attractions are the large 6.75-inch display, 5000mAh battery, Android 15 software, 4GB RAM, and IP64 protection.
For someone who mainly needs a phone for calling, messaging, social media, YouTube, browsing, photography, and other everyday tasks, the specifications make it a practical budget-oriented option.
On the other hand, users who prioritise heavy gaming, very fast charging, higher-resolution displays, or extensive storage may want to look at phones with more powerful hardware.
Overall, the device’s feature set makes it particularly interesting for buyers who want a large-screen, big-battery smartphone with modern Android software and essential everyday features without moving into a higher price segment.
